Extended Vacation Continued

So we said good-bye to Disney and we said good-bye to the Chappell's, but we didn't say good-bye to Florida. It was on to "Foreclosure Hills" to the Finnigan's Orlando home for the month. These snowbirds. It wasn't really called "Foreclosure Hills", but I can't remember the real name. This would be it's eventual nickname though, as the place was pretty much shut down after we left. (not before a funny story of eviction notices, police intervention and thankfully a sense of humour. What a mess this economy has made of Florida. Okay, getting side-tracked here.

After a busy time at Disney it was great to have three or four days where we could just come, hang out and relax. And that we did. Three days in a heated pool was just so perfect. (And thank goodness it was heated, because it sure wasn't that warm outside). And the adjacent jacuzzi was the perfect spot for Emily to walk around in.

The boys were able to go out a couple of times for a round of golf. Gramma spoiled the girls and took us out for a little shopping. Riley and Emily looked adorable sporting their new outfits.

We did make it down to the play park and tennis court one day.

But for the most part, if we weren't out for dinner, or in the pool, we were all in the living room with the girls playing and crafting and the adults glued to the TV.

And glued to the TV for good reason. The 2010 Vancouver Olympics!!!! Such great games. We all had the pleasure of watching Canada beat the U.S. for the Gold!!

It was fun to see the Rivers and the Thorns during out visit as well. And thanks to Gramma and Papa for the stay. Unfortunately the flight home would see a sick Riley. (actually the garbage pail in the airport security line saw her first. But we made it through the entire 2 weeks with no previous incidence, so its all good. Can't wait until our next trip!!!
